2010-2011 TPCA Steering Committees
E.K Bennett Award Selection Committee
This committee is charged with soliciting all eligible names to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves through service to the independent petroleum marketing industry. The committee will consist of past recipients of the award. The immediate past recipient of the award shall be the selection committee chairman. Eddie Bates, Chair The Audit Committee shall review TPCA's audited financial reports, financial management reporting, and designated internal controls/operations to ensure their effectiveness, transparency and adherence to the highest standards of operations.

Convention Committee Members will study the overall format and recommend policies for the Annual Convention and Texas Petroleum Marketing and Convenience Store Show. The committee will work with the staff and provide guidance in the areas of educational programming and meeting format. Membership is open to all active members of the Association. Executive Committee
Executive committee shall have the power to authorize any act by TPCA that is not prohibited by the charter, bylaws, or resolutions of the Association. This committee consists of the chairman, first and second vice chairmen, treasurer, four regional directors, the immediate past president and two appointed past presidents. Finance Committee
The committee shall prepare the annual budget, which will be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. The Finance Committee shall consist of the senior vice chairman, second senior vice chairman, treasurer, the four regional directors and one past chairman appointed by the chairman. Legislative Committee
Members of this committee have the responsibility of soliciting ideas, requests, and demands from the membership and organizing them into a coordinated policy of legislative action for recommendation to the Board of Directors. Membership Committee
Encouraging greater participation among current TPCA members in Association activities and securing new members are the primary goals of the Membership Committee. Members work with the TPCA staff on an ongoing basis regarding new member prospects, and they are responsible for the development of a membership marketing program. Political Action Committee
The committee will solicit and collect funds from the TPCA membership and make contributions to candidates for statewide offices, the Texas Senate, and the Texas House of Representatives. Randy Parrott, Chair Retail Operations Committee
The Retail Operations Committee considers issues to the operation of retail facilities. The committee makes recommendations to TPCA's Board of Directors regarding such issues as lottery, tobacco, food service, alcoholic beverages, payment systems or retail trends. Tex Farmer, Chair

Wholesale Operations Committee
The Wholesale Operations Committee considers issues related to the operation of businesses engaged in the bulk sale of motor fuels or lubricants. The committee makes recommendations to TPCA's Board of Directors regarding transportation, storage, security and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements regarding fuels and lubricants. TPCA Wranglers 2010-2011 Ted Maier, President-Elect
This committee consists of associate members who dedicate their time and effort to assist the TPCA staff and promote the ideals of the Texas Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association. They volunteer their time during the Annual Convention and Texas Food & Fuel Expo to ensure everyone attending has an enjoyable and productive experience. You will see the familiar red TPCA WRANGLERS golf shirt around the trade show and the hotel, at registration, in the hallways, on the busses, at the golf course and wherever else they are needed. The TPCA WRANGLERS organize the annual Fall Golf Tournament in conjunction with the Fall Management Conference. Funds raised from this tournament provide support to the TPCA Legislative Fund, TPCA Scholarship Foundation, Annual Convention Sponsorship and TPCA PAC Live and Silent Auctions. 2006 marks the inaugural awarding of the TPCA WRANGLERS Associate Member Scholarship.
